Your post reads as if you actually expect Steorn’s perpetual motion machine to work - no one really believes that it will.

If it were to work it would run counter to our entire understanding of how the physical world works. It’s impossible for such a machine to work (see e.g. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Perpetual_motion#Use_of_the_term_.22impossible.22_and_perpetual_motion)

Also, the Kinetica Museum demonstration you mention didn’t actually go ahead - www.steorn.com/news/releases/?id=1001

It would be great if there was a simple source of energy like this available but sadly this isn’t it!
